The Eagles released their debut self titled album in 1972 to instant success with an audience. It produced three hit singles also with one single reaching #9 at the highest on the charts. Rolling Stones also list the album on their Greatest Albums of All Time Chart. The critics enjoyed the album at the time of it's release, but some questioned the band's supposed country roots.
It seems like a style of music was hitting in the 70s that perhaps isn't my particular choice of music. The Eagles have a good sound for travelling, but I felt something a tad lacking for me. You have interesting guitar parts at times, and the vocals are unique, but I wanted something really powerful to happen the whole time that didn't every happen. They have a good grassroots like country vibe going on though. "Take It Easy" seemed to be the most memorable tune.
