By 1974 Bob Dylan had released a few albums, and he is still able to pull off a unique album that rivals his prior ones in listening quality. With time his songwriting skills have extended, and he's blended the electric and acoustic sounds into a well-balanced sound.

After hearing the sounds that Dylan had experienced with on the previous albums I was unsure what I might hear on this one. "Tangled Up In Blue" is probably one of the most popularly known songs from the album, and is definitely a good way to get your attention for the album. The album holds strong until some of the songs veer off as catching your hold as well in ones like "Idiot Wind" unless you're a fan of the longer run times of some songs.

The favorite part of the album is how the harmonica blends with the acoustic guitar. It was one of my favorite things about Freewheelin' Bob Dylan. The stories told through the lyrics also are fun, and interesting to listen to. He goes into a lot of detail that expresses much more than most songs will as far as storytelling, and he brings another element to it with it.

This is one of the top Bob Dylan albums you will hear. He has combined many of the elements that made the previous albums classics and put it into this album. For that the sound, and musical talent is even better along with the lyrical content that is taken to a new level of stirring emotions in the listener. It is worth the time it takes to listen to it.
